  • Plaza de Castilla (square) in Madrid (Spain). Right and left: 'Gate of Europe' buildings. Centre: the so-called 'Obelisco de la Caja'.

Gate of Europe and Cuatro Torres

Just a 15 minutes walk from the Apart hotel are located the leaning towers of Plaza de Castilla (called Torres Kio or Gate of Europe), which have increasingly become, along with the recently created “Cuatro Torres Business Area”, the new Skyline from Madrid; not surprisingly, the Caja Madrid tower, designed by architect Norman Foster, is the tallest tower in the country with 250 meters high.
Enjoy your views and the beginning of the Paseo de la Castellana and, if desired, pamper yourself in the most renowned restaurants in the city that are in this area, such as Txistu or Asador Donostiarra.
Also, in Plaza de Castilla, you can enjoy the peaceful park Canal Isabel II and its exhibition area, in which promptly we can find the most famous exhibitions of the moment (“Warriors of Xi’an”, “Pompeii, catastrophe under Vesuvius” , “Star Wars, the Exhibition”, etc.)
